The latest Dutch government press conference on February 15, 2022, seems to give good hopes. In the Netherlands, the number of infections remains high, but hospital cases are fairly stable. For this reason, it was decided to carry out a gradual relaxation of the rules, which will end with the last step on February 25th. In this post we have summarized the rules that will be in effect with this last step. Remember that these rules can always change at any moment. Another press conference will be held on March 15, 2022, which could include updates on these measures. It is therefore important to always keep up to date. Alongside the new rules, the essential advice that has always been repeated in the last two years and that you will find in this article, remain valid.
New rules
- Opening hours: will return to normal
- Corona entry pass: it will no longer be necessary to show the corona entry pass (3G) in locations with less than 500 people.
- 1.5 m distance: it will no longer be mandatory to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from others.
- Face mask: the mask will no longer be mandatory in bars, restaurants, and other locations.
- Visitor Limit: There will no longer be a limit of visitors per day to your homes.
- Events: Discos, clubs, festivals, and other events can open without restrictions.
- Negative test: In locations with more than 500 people and with no fixed seats assigned, it will be mandatory to show a test. negative (does not apply in places with continuous flows of people, such as fairs and conferences.
- Public transport: the face mask remains mandatory on public transport and at airports.
Essential rules
- Wash / disinfect your hands frequently.
- Cover your mouth and nose if you sneeze / cough.
- Avoid mixed use of glasses and bottles.
- Avoid hugs and handshakes.
- Avoid close contact with people suffering from acute respiratory infections.
- Keep your distance and use a mask in crowded places.
- Make sure there is a good exchange of fresh air in closed places.
- Perform a self-test regularly.
