AmsterdaMobile è stata fondata da Silvia Causin nel 2019 presso la Camera di Commercio di Amsterdam, come agenzia olandese specializzata in tour accessibili nella capitale olandese. L'agenzia era nata dal desiderio di offrire ai viaggiatori visite guidate accessibili di alta qualità. Tutti i servizi e i percorsi sono stati realizzati ad hoc, senza barriere architettoniche, e personalizzati in base alle esigenzie e alle volontà dei viaggiatori. <<This is an essential service for people traveling with mobility challenges. Silvia and team were lovely to correspond with, and our device was delivered to our hotel in advance of our arrival. My Mom has some mobility challenges but doesn't use a wheelchair at home. We decided to book a wheelchair as a supportive balance aid and for respite from walking. She was not sure about it in advance, but so grateful for it on location. (Even my kids benefited from a few rides when their legs got tired.) Thanks to AmsterdaMobile, Mom was able to join us on longer adventures, and we all felt safer and more able to get out and enjoy with the use of a rental manual wheelchair. The device was clean, slim, and folded up tight for small restaurants and elevators. Handlebars were adjustable, and could be used for supportive walking or riding. We were so grateful for this device!! (Speaking of accessibility in Amsterdam in general, I do recommend downloading the local transportation apps and utilizing accessibility alerts, as Amsterdam itself can be a little tricky to navigate with a wheelchair or assistance device. I also suggest requesting service at Schiphol airport, which is huge and had some lifts under construction. We struggled through arrivals were able to whiz through departures with Accessibility services and would probably have missed our flight without it.) If you have a mobility need and are questioning whether or not to rent a device, don't hesitate to book with AmsterdaMobile. Travelled from America to take my elderly mom out of the country for the first time, knew she couldn't go far each day with her condition so found AmsterdaMobile, and Silvia online and was blown away at her speedy, friendly response giving me comfort to book ahead. <<I broke my ankle just 2 weeks before my planned trip to Europe!!! I was devastated, but didn’t want to postpone my trip. I was in Belgium first and used a knee scooter to travel around, but it’s definitely hard and tiring. Since I was only going to Amsterdam for about a day, I figured renting a wheelchair would be the best option. I researched online and went with this company with the help of AbleAmsterdam website. They dropped it off to my hotel a day before I arrived at my hotel and picked up the day after I left which was great! I had the wheelchair the entire time I needed it and didn’t waste time waiting for it. The wheelchair was easy to use and fold up. It was my friend and I’s first time using a wheelchair so we had to get used to it lol. Once we did, it was awesome!! Some of the curbs don’t slant down, so it can be annoying but other than that, it worked great! Everyone was very nice, helpful, and accommodating to me. Silvia is the best! This wheelchair made my 24 hours in Amsterdam with a broken ankle so much better! Thank you. Wonderful experience. :)>>

<<I highly recommend using AmsterdaMobile for any accessibility needs. I rented a mobility scooter and a wheelchair for my 88 year old father to use while in Amsterdam and on a cruise ship. They were very professional and delivered on their promises. The scooter and wheelchair were delivered to our hotel the day prior to our arrival, and were picked up from the hotel the day after we departed. The level of service and pricing was far and beyond those of other rental agencies like Special Needs @ Sea.
